Haley Dunphy is a bi-coastal union makeup artist specializing in film and television. Based in Las Vegas, Los Angelos and New York City. After studying makeup artistry and becoming certified at the accredited Makeup Designory In New York City in 2013, she came to the west coast to focus on honing niche and specialized skills in the industry. In the last 10+ years, she has achieved becoming an artistry trainer for major brands like Makeup Forever, teaching her beauty makeup skills and product knowledge. She then moved on to opening her own special makeup effects company; Nightmare Nevada FX and Creature Shop with her business partner, Junior Rubio. Together they have provided custom characters and FX including prop weapons, blood rigs and beyond for films and productions. Specializing in prosthetic fabrication, creating creature suits, designing and creating full character makeups. Haley has since worked her way up to specializing in Department heading major feature films allowing her to lead and manage teams of artists, working closely with directors and producers to bring characters to life. Focusing on hyper realism, prosthetic application, advanced airbrush techniques including tattoo covers and full body painting. As well as having toured the country with Broadway shows specializing in wig and hair techniques. Through her expansive experience across multiple avenues of opportunities she has developed niche capabilities in the industry. Whether its clean commercial beauty makeup, undetectable male grooming or specialized prosthetic and hair application. Throughout the years she has taught both beginner and advanced fx courses, airbrush and beauty courses to help expand the knowledge of other artists in special makeup effects and beauty/corrective techniques. Her experience, professionalism, bed side manner and organizational skills are always the most complimented aspects of her work.
